Bradford Sports Awards launched for 2018

The Bradford Sports Awards 2018 has been launched to celebrate the achievements and efforts of players, coaches, administrators and volunteers from across all levels of sport throughout the district.

Sponsored by Provident, the third annual hosting of the event will take place at the Northern Commercials Stadium, home of Bradford City AFC on Thursday 8 March.

Seventeen awards will be presented across four categories, hosted by BBC Sports Broadcaster, Tanya Arnold and organised by Active Bradford, a partnership of organisations committed to making Bradford a healthier and more prosperous place to live and work.

Chairman of Active Bradford Wayne Jacobs said: “Active Bradford is delivering the Bradford Sports Awards for a third year as we believe it is important to acknowledge the sporting achievements across the district and recognise the contribution of individuals in making Bradford a healthier and happier place.

“We are delighted to be bringing the awards to the home of Bradford City Football Club which allows us to grow the event”.

Nominations are now open and members of the public are encouraged to nominate their club, family, school, event, coach or even workplace for the opportunity to have their accomplishments highlighted on the night.

The nominations period is will close on Thursday 30th November. Nominations can be made online at www.activebradford.com/bsa where you can also view a full list of the awards categories and criteria.
