Coaching is set for a boost across South Yorkshire and West Yorkshire thanks to bursaries from Yorkshire Sport Foundation.
Current and aspiring coaches of any age can apply for a £100 bursary to gain a qualification in any sport they wish, up to and including Level 2 qualifications.
When applying for a bursary, individuals must explain how their qualification will either lead to new sessions, or enhance current sessions.
Up to fifteen coaches in each of the nine districts across the counties will benefit from the money, with applications open until Friday 16 February.
“More and better qualified coaches will mean more opportunities for those wanting to play sport,” said Nigel Harrison, Chief Executive of Yorkshire Sport Foundation.
“A good coach is the difference between giving something a go, and making it a habit for life.”
