British Cycling and HSBC UK have confirmed the route which thousands of locals will take as they pedal their way through the city for the HSBC UK Let’s Ride Sheffield event, taking place on July 15.
The free-to-attend event will get underway at Endcliffe Park, with the 6.5km course taking participants into the city centre via Ecclesall Road. Along the route, there will be plenty of things to keep participants of all ages entertained, with Festival Zones situated in Endcliffe Park and Peace Gardens.
Here, there will be a host of family-friendly activities as well as live music and refreshments for participants to enjoy.
Julie Harrington, chief executive of British Cycling, said: “Sheffield played host to a fantastic event last year, and we’ve worked hard – alongside Sheffield City Council and local businesses and attractions – to ensure that HSBC UK Let’s Ride Sheffield will again be a truly enjoyable, free and family-friendly day out which showcases the best of the city and the real benefits of cycling.”
The event will get take place between 11am and 3pm, with participants able to ride the route as many times as they want during that time.
