Dan has worked in education for the past 12 years including roles in primary, secondary and special schools in Coventry, Newcastle and London. Having previously managed the Harrow School Sports Partnership, he was most recently a local authority school adviser for PE and sport.
Dan's current role focuses on working with local authorities, national governing bodies and other partners to improve PE, sport and health opportunities for young people. He supports schools in the effective spending of the PE and sport grant for which he also has a national role as the Primary PE Premium lead on the CSPN CYP group.
Dan also manages the West Yorkshire School Games, and is the Local Organising Committee’s secretariat.
Dan has had success in developing and leading health programmes for young people including 1K-A-Day and West Yorkshire Centres of Excellence for PE and Sport.
He has spoken and presented workshops at national conferences and won a prestigious Youth Sport Trust award for his management of the Change 4 Life programme whilst working in London.
