We are dedicated to improving the access to physical activity and sport for all disabled people within South Yorkshire and West Yorkshire.
There are around 11 million disabled people in the UK, yet less than two in ten disabled people in England are taking part in sport.
We work with a number of partners to improve and increase the opportunities offered, ensuring disabled people have a memorable experience of sport and physical activity.
- Creating Connections supports disabled people to get involved in community sport and physical activities, and to support community clubs/providers to welcome more disabled people to their sessions.
- We’re the lead organisation for the The Special Olympics South Yorkshire Partnership, an accredited delivery network of Special Olympics GB.
- Inclusion Lead Schools are part of the School Games and their number one aim is to have more young disabled pupils taking part in competitive sport.
- Find your local contact for disability sport in your district.
