Posted 3rd May 2018

Clubs and organisations in Kirklees are invited to the Everybody Active Sport & Physical Activity Conference on Wednesday 27 June (6pm-9pm).

The free event will be a great opportunity to network with other clubs/organisations and provide and environment to share and learn from others.

Taking place at Huddersfield RUFC,

The evening will start with a keynote from Julia Lee, who was the first female qualified men’s rugby league referee in Great Britain and Australia. She was a Director at the Rugby Football League for over 20 years in a variety of roles, successful securing and delivering a £29 million Sport England Award.

She is passionate about making positive differences by sharing her experiences, achievements and learning to help influence and encourage others to achieve their potential. She believes that being active can have a positive effect on mental health and well-being and wants to help remove barriers so people can lead happy and healthier lives.

The evening will include a presentation on funding and fundraising opportunities and workshops on how to make your club/group more inclusive and volunteer recruitment and retention.
