Lockdown may mean we can’t watch the Olympics this year, but we can still come together and celebrate the power of sport.
Over six weeks, StreetGames are inviting community sports clubs and the young people who support them to test their mettle with a series of 30 fun daily challenges. From Boxing to Badminton, Tennis to Triathlons, there are activities to suit everyone. So choose your challenge and show the world what you can do.
Every day, a new Olympic themed task will be released on the StreetGames social media pages, and each organisation will select a young person to represent them against others from across England and Wales. There will be a scoring system for each challenge (which will encompass all ages and abilities), and a leader board each day showing the daily winners and overall standings.
The challenges will run Monday to Friday, beginning on Monday 20 July and ending on the 28 August.
There is no cost to enter, and if organisations are unable to enter one of the days or want to join later in the weeks then this is no problem at all as all are welcome at any stage – this is all about connecting our communities together during this time and providing fun (and challenging) activities for all to take part in.
