Yorkshire Sport Foundation are proud to share that we have been recognised as a ‘Very Good’ company to work for by ‘Best Companies’.
‘Best Companies’ recognise excellence in the workplace and uses insight from employee surveys to create league tables across various categories. The accreditation signifies very good levels of employee engagement.
In the quarter two tables for 2022, we were ranked 12th in all UK charities, and 40th for all organisations in Yorkshire and Humber league table. Nationally, we were also 48th in the ‘Small Companies’ category.
In the survey, our team said:
- 97% of are proud to work for us
- 100% of staff believe our organisation is run on strong values and principles
- 74% of staff said that working for us was good for their personal growth
Best Companies say their primary purpose is to help make the world a better workplace, and that employees who are truly engaged are happier, more productive, and more invested in an organisation’s success. They have established an accreditation program which sets the international standard for workplace engagement.
To recognise the very best of organisations in workplace engagement, companies compete to be ranked on one or more of the prestigious Best Companies Lists which showcase the very best, nationally, regionally and in their sector.
In addition to this status, we are proud to be a Disability Confident employer, and to have a number of our team trained as Mental Health First Aiders.
“We’re really pleased to have been recognised by ‘Best Companies’, said Nigel Harrison, Chief Executive of Yorkshire Sport Foundation.
“The people who make up our team are Yorkshire Sport Foundation – we’re not a logo or a name. It’s always been hugely important that those people are valued and have a voice in everything we do.
“We make a conscious effort to create as many opportunities as possible for our team to be listened to, and act on it to be the best we can be for them. Because the better we are for our team, the better we can be for our partners and most importantly, the people in South Yorkshire and West Yorkshire who we are working for.”
