Areas of Work

  • Partnership working in Rotherham to improve physical activity in different areas of work.
  • Looking at reducing inequalities to give everyone a fair chance at including physical activity in their lives.

Previous Experience

Norsheen has over 15 years’ experience working with vulnerable groups of adults and children in different settings. Ranging from primary schools, secondary schools, young people’s supporting housing, sheltered accommodation and most recently a Domestic Abuse Charity.

For the last 6 years, she has worked as a Service Manager in Rotherham with a focus on diverse communities for the Domestic Abuse charity. She has lead the project through training staff, training external organisations, decision making around safeguarding, risk management, achieving positive outcomes for those affected with Domestic Abuse and working with the SMT to achieve new ways of working.

Norsheen is excited about her new post with YSF as she understands the role of physical activity does not only help someones physical wellbeing but also their mental wellbeing, with the right conditions in place.

Keeping Active

Norsheen enjoys long walks in the peaks and also walks locally for work/errands.

She has her own little home gym for the days she cannot get outdoors and has recently learnt to swim through adult swimming classes.
