Job Title:Development Manager (Wakefield)
Areas of Work:
Lead role on supporting partnership development for physical activity in Wakefield.
Gayle has many years experience working in public, private and charity sector partnerships. She has delivered projects working with communities to improve wellbeing and safety and enjoys working collaboratively across geographical and organisational boundaries to achieve a shared aim. She joined the team in September 2019 having spent the previous 4 years at Citizens Advice working as part of a team responsible for training over 21,000 volunteers to give people the advice they need.
Prior to this Gayle worked at West Yorkshire Fire and Rescue Service for 9 years in various roles, all involving community engagement, partnership working and relationship building, leading major projects such as turning an old disused fire station into a community learning centre.
Gayle is excited to join Yorkshire Sports Foundation and the opportunity to help more people be physically active more often in Wakefield.

Personal Sporting Interests:
Gayle builds active travel into her daily routines and enjoys spending weekends walking in beautiful hilly and coastal spots. She is also a regular runner and an advocate of outdoor activity for positive mental health.
