Lead role on supporting the partnerships across Kirklees and Calderdale.
Previous Experience:
Julie’s previous role with Highways England was predominantly working with stakeholders and partnerships across national roads infrastructure. She spent 14 years there, managing internal communication, culture change, and future investment, ensuring stakeholders understood the government’s future plans.
Her main passion was leading the national sports and social membership club, offering colleagues the opportunities to keep active while at work, and to boost their wellbeing.
Outside of work she has always loved sports and coaching, both in the UK and Africa, and so brings a wealth of experience from the ‘end user’ perspective.

Level 2 netball coach
Personal Sporting Interests:
Julie loves netball. She coaches, plays, umpires, chairs a club, and runs a netball development charity working in Africa. She’s also a regular volunteer at many (any) netball events across the region/country.
More physical activity than a typical sport, but Julie also dances (and sings) in musical theatre shows across West Yorkshire; Hairspray at Leeds Grand Theatre being an all-time favourite.
