Previous Experience
Rebecca is a Yorkshire woman, born and raised in Barnsley with a degree in Sport Studies and Physical Education from York St John University.
She is a Chartered Manager with extensive experience in healthcare leadership. After graduating from university, Rebecca started her career working for a charity to promote Sport and Physical Activity to improve health, this led to many years of working in and leading lifestyle services such as Smoking Cessation, Weight Management, Sexual Health and Health Trainers in the NHS and VCSE sector.
More recently Rebecca managed a multi-award-winning Social Prescribing service in Wakefield and is currently the Head of General Practice and PCN Support at Conexus Healthcare CIC (the GP Federation in Wakefield) working collaboratively in the West Yorkshire Health and Care System to improve access and deliver greater benefits to patients.
Rebecca is passionate about reducing barriers and increasing participation in sport and physical activity for all.
