Active Bradford supports families to get moving with Let’s Move!
This autumn, Active Bradford is delighted to be supporting the national Let’s Move! campaign, helping families discover simple, fun ways to be active together.
The campaign encourages parents, carers and children to make movement part of everyday life. This year's focus is the New Moves Club, inspiring families to try something new together and enjoy the benefits of being active.
Whether it's a family walk, a kickabout in the park, dancing in the living room or trying a new activity in the local community, every movement counts. Starting with just 10 minutes of activity can make a real difference, helping children work towards the recommended 60 minutes of physical activity each day.
Why it matters
Being active supports children's physical health, mental wellbeing, confidence and social connections. It can also be a great opportunity for families to spend quality time together while having fun.
Bradford is one of just five priority areas featured in this year's campaign, highlighting the city's commitment to helping more children and young people lead active, healthy lives.
Get involved
Families can find simple activity ideas, inspiration and practical tips:
Whatever your starting point, there's no better time to give something new a go and make movement part of your family's routine.
