Activity Alliance: Join a research webinar exploring the Annual Disability and Activity Survey
On Wednesday 13 August, this accessible event will bring together people and organisations from many sectors including sport, leisure, and disability.
From 13:30 join colleagues from Activity Alliance and a range of committed partners to explore the secondary analysis findings and learn about areas for action across the sector.
Over the previous five years, the Annual Disability and Activity Survey (ADAS) is the primary source of insight for organisations working towards a future where all disabled people feel they belong in sports and activities. It provides detailed insight into changes in disabled people’s perceptions and experiences of sport and activity year-on-year.

It complements Sport England’s Active Lives Adult Survey, helping us understand why disabled people are still twice as likely to be inactive as non-disabled people. These secondary analysis reports offer further insight from the previous five years of research, highlighting differences in disabled people's experiences of sport and activity across regions and demographics.
The reports focus on the following areas:
- Disabled people's experiences of sport and activity across regions and demographics.
- Preferred sources of advice and information on being active.
- Representation and belonging in participating, volunteering and working in sports and activity.
The research webinar will help you to:
- Understand key findings, including key areas for change and action
- Hear from committed partners across the sector on how they use this research, and how this informs their respective areas of work in their regions.
- Hear about how to collectively use the findings and our asks to help create positive change.
Who is this event for?
Anyone interested in or working to increase participation and improve experiences for disabled people in sport and activities.
