Awards celebrates best of inclusive sport in Yorkshire

The best of disability sport in the region was celebrated last Friday night at the Disability Sport Yorkshire Awards.

The evening was dedicated to celebrating the exceptional contributions of individuals, teams, and organisations in promoting disability sport across Yorkshire.

Winners were recognised for their outstanding achievements in the field, showcasing the resilience, dedication, and triumphs of those who inspire and lead the way in making sports accessible for all.

In addition to the awards, guests heard from guest speaker Steve Judge, a world champion para-triathlete and inspirational speaker.

Yorkshire Sport Foundation Director of Development, Joe Thomspon, presented James Simpson MBE with the Coach of the Year Award.

Gary Hayton Yorkshire Sports Personality of the Year: Milli Leech
