This Online EDI Roundtable on 22 Jan 2026 for members of the Sport and Recreation Alliance will focus on what inclusive leadership truly looks like in day-to-day practice, and how leaders across the sport and recreation sector can deliberately develop the mindset, skills, and behaviours needed to foster fair, representative, and welcoming environments.

As organisations strengthen their commitment to Equity, Diversity and Inclusion, leaders play a crucial role in turning intentions into tangible cultural change. Designed as a practical, solutions-focused session, this Roundtable will equip attendees with clear actions and proven approaches they can take back to their teams and Boards. Participants will hear from experienced sector leaders who will share real examples of what has worked, what hasn’t, and how they navigated common challenges when embedding EDI at both strategic and operational levels.

Leaders attending this session will gain:

  • Practical tools for building inclusive habits and decision-making.
  • Insight into effective leadership behaviours that drive trust, belonging and performance.
  • Actionable strategies for creating inclusive cultures within varied organisational contexts.
  • Peer learning and sector-specific perspectives, helping them benchmark progress and build confidence.

This roundtable is ideal for any leader wanting to strengthen their inclusive practice, deepen their understanding, and leave with realistic, implementable steps to support lasting cultural change.
