Free trauma informed coaching workshops for West Yorkshire clubs

YSF Positive Coaching

Are you involved in coaching at a club or organisation in West Yorkshire? With funding from the West Yorkshire Violence Reduction Partnership, we’re running a series of online Positive Coaching workshops for clubs and organisations across West Yorkshire. The sessions introduce a trauma-informed, holistic approach to supporting athletes.

The workshops will:

  • Explore the attributes of a good coach
  • Look at poor coaching practice
  • Introduce trauma-informed sports coaching
  • Signpost to further learning opportunities

Each session is interactive, with breakout room discussions and opportunities to contribute through the chat, so participants will need a device with a camera and microphone to take part fully.

There are four sessions to choose from, each limited to 25 people:

  • Monday 30 November, 12 pm to 1.30 pm
  • Tuesday 1 December, 10 am to 11.30 am
  • Wednesday 2 December, 6 pm to 7.30 pm
  • Friday 4 December, 1.30 pm to 3 pm

These workshops are specifically for clubs and organisations based in West Yorkshire. Everyone who completes a workshop will receive a certificate and a £100 Decathlon e-voucher for their club or organisation.

Book your place here, and please share this with colleagues, clubs and coaches across West Yorkshire who may benefit.

If you have any questions, please contact Lisa Moseley. If your club or organisation is outside West Yorkshire, please contact Nicola Holmes to discuss other options.
