Jodie Bridger is our new Director for West Yorkshire
Yorkshire Sport Foundation (YSF) is pleased to announce Jodie Bridger as the new Director for West Yorkshire.
Jodie is a skilled leader with extensive experience across public service; including local authority and the voluntary, community and faith sector. She returns to us having spent the last eight years as Senior Partnerships Manager within Public Health at City of Doncaster Council and has served on the YSF board.
Jodie said: "It’s a real privilege to be appointed to this role and be re-joining an organisation that means a lot to me personally. I’m excited to work alongside colleagues, partners, and communities to ensure sport and physical activity continues to play a meaningful role in improving people's lives across West Yorkshire.”
She led Get Doncaster Moving, Doncaster’s ‘Local Delivery Pilot’, now known as a Place Partnership, positioning it as one of the leading places in whole systems, place-based approaches to reducing inequalities in physical activity.
“We’re delighted to welcome Jodie into the role of Director for West Yorkshire,” said Carl Hawkes, Chief Executive Officer at Yorkshire Sport Foundation.
“Jodie’s journey with us makes this appointment particularly special. Having previously been part of the team and more recently serving as a valued board member, she brings a deep understanding of our purpose, our people and the communities we serve.
"Her experience at Doncaster Council, combined with her strong track record of partnership working, will be invaluable as we continue to strengthen our impact across West Yorkshire. We’re excited to have her back at Yorkshire Sport Foundation and look forward to the leadership, insight and energy she will bring to the role.”
