Nominations are now open for the 2025 Bradford Sports Awards.

The awards are set to take place on Thursday, 8th May 2025, celebrating the outstanding achievements of athletes, coaches, administrators, and volunteers across the Bradford District. YSF is proud to sponsor the Amateur Sportsman award in the Amateur Achievers category.

Co-Chairs of Active Bradford, James Mason and Charles Dacres, emphasised the importance of community involvement, stating:

"We're delighted that some fantastic local businesses and organisations have already confirmed their sponsorship, including our headline partners, Bradford Bulls and Bradford City FC. As two of the city's major sports clubs, they were determined to support this event and ensure it goes ahead. However, we still need more local businesses, organisations, and sporting clubs to get involved. This event is a true celebration of our city's sporting spirit, and we need everyone's support to make it a success."

Other organisations supporting the event this year include APX Team, Born in Bradford, Bradford 2025 UK City of Culture, Bradford College, Bradford Ice Arena, Cedar Court Hotel, Yorkshire Sport Foundation, West Riding County FA and ZA Community.

Now in its 9th year the event will feature 23 awards spanning seven main groups: Young Achievers (Under 18), Amateur Achievers (Over 18), Professional Achievers (Over 18), Active Achievers, Team Achievers, and Outstanding Contribution. Community members are encouraged to nominate individuals, teams, or organisations that have made significant contributions to sports and physical activity in the district.

Nominations can be submitted here. The deadline for submissions is 6pm Friday, 7th March 2025.
