#PlanetPossible podcast: can sport drive climate action?
A new episode of the #PlanetPossible podcast is exploring an important question: Can sport be a mainstream access point for inspiring greater interest and action on sustainability?
The answer, according to David Gent, CEO of Active Humber and Yorkshire & Humber Climate Commissioner, is a resounding yes.
David joins regular host Niki Roach to discuss the unique role sport can play in helping people connect with issues around climate and nature. Together, they explore how sport's reach into communities creates opportunities to raise awareness, encourage action and inspire positive change.
The episode also features Adam Keizer, Head of Commercial at Bradford City AFC, who shares how the club is leading the way through its award-winning Greener Bantams initiative. Recognised with the EFL's 2026 Environmental Award, the programme demonstrates how football can make a difference both on and off the pitch.
Listeners will hear practical examples of how sport is helping communities engage with sustainability, as well as how innovative initiatives at Bradford City are creating positive environmental impact while strengthening connections with fans and local people.
Tune in to hear why sport could be one of the most powerful tools for driving environmental awareness and action in communities.
