Safe Sport Day - Saturday 8 August 2026
This year’s Safe Sport Day theme is safeguarding should protect every child involved in sport and the campaign is built around a simple call to action:
Stand up. Speak out. Play your part.
Safe Sport International are inviting partners, members, organisations and individuals across the safe sport community to get involved.
Safe Sport Day is a day to celebrate safeguarding for all, help more voices to be heard and show visible commitment to sport that is safe, inclusive and accountable.
It is an opportunity for everyone involved in sport - from athletes, coaches and officials to parents, volunteers, clubs, federations, researchers, sponsors and safeguarding leads to reflect on the role they can play in preventing harm and creating safer environments.
Yorkshire Sport Foundation is committed to promoting the safety and welfare of children, young people, and adults engaged in sporting activities in South Yorkshire and West Yorkshire.
