Yorkshire and Humber climate and sport conference inspires collaboration and action

The first-ever Yorkshire and Humber climate and sport conference has been celebrated as a fantastic success, bringing together organisations, partners and passionate individuals who share a commitment to creating a more sustainable future for sport and physical activity across the region.

The event provided an opportunity for people from across the sport, physical activity and sustainability sectors to come together, share ideas and learn from one another. More importantly, it sparked meaningful conversations about the role sport can play in tackling climate challenges and supporting healthier, more sustainable communities.

We were proud to play a part in supporting and contributing to the conference alongside Active Humber, North Yorkshire Sport, Sport England, the Yorkshire & Humber Climate Commission and the British Association for Sustainable Sport.

Throughout the day, there was a real sense of energy, optimism and shared ambition. Attendees explored practical ways to reduce environmental impact, strengthen resilience and embed sustainability into the way sport and physical activity are delivered across Yorkshire and Humber.
