Neil brings a lifelong commitment to sport to his role as Trustee of Yorkshire Sport Foundation. A Chartered Certified Accountant, Neil has held senior finance positions across central government and major FTSE 100 companies, with experience in financial governance, audit assurance, and strategic risk management.
Alongside his finance career, Neil is a respected 7th Dan judoka, Level 3 coach, Head Coach of Pudsey Judo Club, and a former Great Britain representative.
He is a board member and the Vice Chair of the British Judo Association, the national governing body for Judo.
He is also a trustee and non-exec director of Active Partnerships National Organisation where his role is Chair of the Finance & Governance Sub‑Committee.
A committed advocate for local community sport and development in West Yorkshire, Neil was previously recognised with the City of Leeds Outstanding Contribution to Sport award.
Neil’s blend of financial expertise and deep-rooted passion for community sport strengthens YSF’s mission to widen participation and support active lives across Yorkshire.
