A new family focused cycling event is coming to Lister Park from 11am to 3pm on Saturday, 21 June. Ride Bradford 2025, which is being organised by Bradford Council alongside partners at Capital of Cycling and funded by WYCA though the Active Travel England’s Capability Fund. This will see the park transformed into a pedal-powered paradise.

Nearby roads will be closed off to allow people to experience cycling in a traffic free environment, and they can also ride around a specially marked out route throughout the park itself, taking in views of the iconic Cartwright Hall.

Inside the park will be a variety of activities for all the family to enjoy, whether you’ve brought your bike or not.

Activities on the day include:

  • BMX pump track
  • 4km traffic-free cycle route
  • Free minor bike repairs
  • Mountain bike displays
  • Security marking
  • Adapted bikes to try
  • Food stalls
  • Information stalls

Ride Bradford 2025 is a free event and there’s no need to book tickets, just turn up on the day. Those driving in the area are urged to plan ahead of their journeys due to the road closures. Road closures

Cyclists will be able to ride on traffic free roads during the event. North Park Road will be closed in both directions from Emm Lane to Oak Lane for the duration of the event and for a 15 minute period at the start of the event they will be closing Keighley Road from Oak Lane to Emm Lane, but that will re-open quickly after the start of the event.
