Sport England meets our Mayors
Sport England CEO Tim Hollingsworth came to our area to meet WY Mayor Tracy Brabin and SY Mayor Oliver Coppard on 1 August. 2024.
The goal was to be able to strike up a relationship with each of the two Mayors, and discuss their ambitions for the areas.
In West Yorkshire the visit was held at Yorkshire Amateurs Football Club in Chapeltown in Leeds where they will also meet with leaders from the community alongside Leeds City Council.
In South Yorkshire it was held at Verdon Recreation Centre in Burngreave before moving to Parkwood Springs to see the developments around the park.
