Summit for Nothing

The Yorkshire Dales National Park is a landscape for everyone, and Summit for Nothing is an activity programme for adults who might not otherwise have the opportunity to do a hill walk (or run!) in the National Park.

Due North Events are delivering the Summit For Nothing project on behalf of the Yorkshire Dales National Park to provide people from under-represented groups with activity days that enable them to access the special qualities of the National Park, and so increase their understanding, enjoyment, health and well-being.

We aim to connect participants with nature through a supported hill walk, or guided trail run,  teach new outdoor skills, and raise awareness of the accessibility of hill walking in the National Park.

Walks/Runs will be within the Yorkshire Dales National Park either accessible by public transport or we can provide a mini bus if you are coming as a group. Walks will range from 4 – 10 miles depending on your groups experience and ability. There will be no pressure to reach the Trig point on the day as we will have a team of professional guides leading the walks, so if anyone feels that they have reached their limit, they can be guided back on a shorter route.
