A celebration of children and young people: YSF attends Child Friendly Leeds Awards

Members of the Yorkshire Sport Foundation team were delighted to attend the Child Friendly Leeds Awards recently, joining nominees, winners and fellow ambassadors for a brilliant evening celebrating the people and organisations making Leeds a better place for children and young people.

As a Child Friendly Leeds Ambassador organisation, we're proud to support the initiative's vision for Leeds as a city where all children and young people are safe, happy and healthy, and where they have the same opportunities regardless of their background.

Nicola Holmes, YSF Senior Sport Welfare Officer, attended the evening and said: "It was great to hear from the young people who are positively impacted by Child Friendly Leeds and to meet some of the other ambassadors who support the project. The children and young people who organised the event and presented on the evening did a great job. Congratulations to all of the well-deserved nominees and winners."

A particular highlight of the evening was seeing children and young people take centre stage, both in organising the event and presenting on the night, a reminder of what Child Friendly Leeds is all about.
