New research seeks to learn about disabled women sports coaches

Activity Alliance women's sports coach

Women in Sport, Activity Alliance, and Leeds Beckett University are collaborating on new research exploring the lived experiences of disabled women and those with long term health conditions (LTHC) who coach in sport.

Whilst there is have research that considers women coach's experiences more broadly, we know little about different kinds of women coaches and their experiences. This research starts to redress this imbalance, and will help organisations like Women in Sport, Activity Alliance and the wider sector in future planning, policy development and inclusive practice.

They are keen to speak to women have coached in the past, either in a voluntary role or a paid capacity (part or full time), no matter of coaching level whether that be grassroots through to high performance coaching.

If you would like your experiences to be heard, they would love to do an interview with one of the trained researchers from Leeds Beckett University.

To register your interest, please complete the form and a researcher from the university will be in touch.
