Pride in Diversity Awards 2026

The Pride in Diversity (PID) Awards celebrate the outstanding individuals and communities driving meaningful change across Yorkshire. These awards shine a spotlight on our region’s most inspirational diversity champions by amplifying their voices and recognising their unwavering dedication to building a fairer, more inclusive society.

From Neurodiversity, Disability, LGBTQ+, Race, Generation and Culture, the awards honour those whose everyday actions create extraordinary impact and are the true backbone of our communities.

Last week YSF Active Design Manager, Steven Heywood attended the Pride in Diversity Awards and reflected saying:

"The room was filled with stories. Stories of kindness that started small but grew into something powerful. Stories of individuals who refused to look away when their communities needed them. Stories that reminded everyone present why inclusion, empathy, and connection matter so deeply.

"People from all walks of life came together—not just to celebrate achievements, but to honour the quiet compassion, the tireless effort, and the courage that too often goes unseen.

"As the evening came to a close, there was a shared feeling in the room: gratitude. Gratitude for those who lead with kindness. Gratitude for those who stand up for others. Gratitude for a Yorkshire that continues to grow more inclusive and compassionate."
