Sport Welfare Connect – Tuesday 28 April 6pm to 7.30pm

Our quarterly Sport Welfare Connect networking forums are an opportunity to learn something new and get involved in discussions. They are aimed at club welfare officers but are open to anyone with an interest in safeguarding in sport across Yorkshire and the Humber.

Our next session will cover misogyny and you can book a place here.

Using AI Responsibly

In our last Sport Welfare Connect session in February we spoke about online safety and AI. The CPSU have put together some guidance around using AI responsibly in sport. You can find the article and information on this page.

Save the Date!
Measha and Nicola are in the early stages of planning a Kirklees club engagement event. This will likely take place on Tuesday 23 June during West Yorkshire Safeguarding Week from 3pm to 8pm at the Accu Stadium in Huddersfield. It will be an opportunity for any welfare or safeguarding staff from sports clubs or activity providers to drop in and meet with local support services such as the police, a range of health and wellbeing services, and colleagues from Yorkshire Sport Foundation. Although it’s aimed at clubs and organisations based in Kirklees, clubs from across South Yorkshire and West Yorkshire are welcome to attend.

For now, if you would like to be kept up to date with news about this event please contact us.

Neurodiversity in Sport Session
There’s still time to book on to our workshop with Danny from Withinu. The Introduction to Neurodiversity session would normally be £19, however we are subsidising this so you only pay £9.

The session will take place on Wednesday 1 April from 6.30pm to 8pm. You can book a place here.
